What is AmbiMix Studio?

AmbiMix Studio is a browser-based ambient music creator. Layer rain, ocean waves, wind, fire, birds, frogs, drones, singing bowls and 100+ other natural sounds into your own atmospheric mix. Adjust each track's volume, stereo pan and reverb independently — just like a real DAW, only it runs entirely in your browser with no installation.

Unlike fixed YouTube tracks or simple noise apps, AmbiMix is a proper browser DAW. Every sound is a clip on its own track with independent volume, stereo pan, reverb send, slow LFO auto-pan, and crossfade between adjacent clips. The generator uses a seeded PRNG so the same seed always produces the same mix — share it as a project file or by URL.

AmbiMix Studio is a free alternative to Noisli, myNoise and Brain.fm — no subscription, no sign-up, and your mixes export to MP3 or WAV.

What can you create?

  • Sleep & relaxation: rain on the window, gentle waves, distant thunder, crackling fireplace
  • Focus & study: brown / pink / white noise, café murmur, soft rain, library hush
  • Meditation & yoga: singing bowls, om chants, 432 Hz and 528 Hz tones, gentle drones
  • Background for work: coffeehouse, office, typewriter, fan, light city ambience
  • Creative inspiration: tropical jungle, sea voyage, cosmic drift, ritual drums, sacred bells
  • Sensory-friendly soundscape: consistent, predictable ambient backgrounds without sudden jumps

/ 05 · questions

Honest answers.

Is AmbiMix Studio free?

Yes — fully free, no account, no payment, no ads. Runs entirely in your browser.

Does it work offline?

Once the page and sounds are loaded, yes — playback works without an internet connection. The MP3 encoder is bundled locally too.

Where is my data stored?

Locally, in your browser's storage. Saved projects and preferences never leave your device — no servers involved.

What languages are supported?

English, Русский, Español — switch from the language menu in the top bar.

Is the timeline really like a DAW?

Yes — clips on tracks, drag-to-extend, multi-select, copy/paste, undo/redo, per-clip volume, pan, reverb. The canvas auto-extends as you drag clips past its current end, just like Ableton or Logic.

What can I export?

MP3 (192 kbps) or 16-bit WAV. You can also save the project as a .ambimix.json file to share or back up.

Free. In your browser. As long as you need.
